I have several projects at this point, some being pursued through seminar work, others in my free time (which I don’t have a lot of).
First, I’m working on a reading of Max Stirner’s The Ego and It’s Own through the lens of social contract theory. The goal of this is to be able to incorporate anarchism into my political theory more than it currently is.
Second, I’m in the very early stages of a project that articulates anarchism’s departure from socialism’s and neoliberalism’s historical materialist framework toward an ideology that values individual agency over teleological notions of development.
Third, I’m in the preliminary research stage of two projects: the rhetorical use of national identity in anti-state politics; the rhetorical use of comics and other forms of sequential art in ‘radical’ political movements.
